The 4 Dimensions

The 4 Dimensions are equal in importance but impact our lives in very different ways. Learning the qualities of each will help you understand yourself and others in your life more clearly and give you insight into how you can improve your happiness quotient.

Physical Dimension
Health - Play - Pleasure

The Physical Dimension helps us experience life through our senses, body and the energy around us. It governs the way we look, our health and our ability to enjoy play, exhilaration and pleasure. When our physical dimension is in harmony with the whole we are better able to deal with health issues, body image, stress and the various stages of life including child-rearing, career building, midlife issues and retirement.

Intellectual Dimension
Reason - Logic - Performance

The Intellectual Dimension rules our minds and allows us to reason, apply logic, appreciate precision, quality and performance. This is also the dimension where we learn, accumulate knowledge and seek to understand the workings of the world around us. When our intellectual dimension is in harmony with the whole we are better able to make rational decisions, bring order to our lives and deal with everyday management tasks in both our personal and
career lives.

Emotional Dimension
Relatonships - Self Confidence

Probably the most challenging dimension of the four, this heartland governs our relationship with ourselves and others. When our emotional dimension is in harmony we are self-assured, confident, understanding of others’ emotions and able to maintain healthy relationship in both our work and personal life.

When it is in disharmony with the whole we feel a void that often results in our most profound sense of loss and unhappiness in life.

Spiritual Dimension
Beliefs - Concepts - Nature

While most people think of spiritual as meaning religious, in dimensional terms it refers to our conceptual selves. It governs our belief systems, which may be spiritual, judicial (based on fairness or laws), environmental or humanitarian. This dimension also inspires our creativity and passion to take concepts and turn them into something concrete. When our spiritual dimension is in harmony we see the world outside ourselves more clearly, open up to creative expression and access the positive characteristics of the other dimensions more easily.
